<p><strong>Accommodation: 2 nights in hotels, 1night in ger camp, 6 night in tents.</strong></p>
<p><strong>Transport: </strong>4*4 Russian van. The cars won`t follow as we are horseback riding for safety. We will use a yak or horse cart to carry our baggage.<br />
<strong>                                                                  Tour Itinerary</strong></p>
<p><strong>Day 1</strong><strong>.</strong> Arrive in UB. City tour included: Mongolian national history museum and Gandan monastery. Overnight in hotel**</p>
<p><strong> Day 2</strong><strong>.</strong> Drive to Terelj. En route we will enjoy “Turtle Rock” and visit to “Meditation temple”.Arrive in Terelj and meet our horsemen. Overnight in a tent.</p>
<p><strong>Day 3</strong><strong>.</strong> After having breakfast, we will be riding past steppe, mountain, and valleys to get the next stop. We have packed our baggage on the horses. Today, the distance of riding is 20 km /overnight tents/</p>
<p><strong>Day 4</strong><strong>. </strong> In the early morning, we will visit Gunj temple which is a temple built by Efu Dondovdorj to commemorate the death of his Manchurian wife Amarlangui. Later we will trek through high mountain forests until we reach our campsite.20 km</p>
<p><strong>Day 5</strong><strong>.</strong> Continue trekking through the nature. You will be able to smell wild flowers growing beneath you. You will hear birds chirping and soaring above you. We will camp next to Dond bayan river at the base of Altan Ulgii mountain. 25km of riding. /overnight tents/</p>
<p><strong>Day 6</strong><strong>.</strong> We will descend from high mountain taiga belt to forest zone. Here, we will visit nomadic families and learn more about nomadic lifestyles. This evening we will meet our driver. Riding Distance is 25km. /overnight in tents/</p>
<p><strong>Day 7.</strong> Relaxing day. Enjoy and discovery Mongolian nomadic life./overnight in tents/</p>
<p><strong>Day 8</strong><strong>.</strong> After having breakfast, we will ride through in the beautiful valley. It`s last days of horse riding. Riding distance is 25km. /overnight in tents/</p>
<p><strong>Day 9</strong><strong>.</strong> Drive to Khustai national park via Ulaanbaatar. En route we will enjoy The <em>Genghis Khan Statue</em><em> is a 40-metre tall statue of Ghengis Khan on horseback. Arrive in Khustai national park.It`</em><strong><em> </em></strong><em>s the home to Przewalski horse, the last truly wild horse first discovered by a Russian zoologist Nikolai Mikhailovich </em><a href="http://www.encyclopedia.com/doc/1E1-Przheval.html"><em>Przhevalsky</em></a><em> in 1870s. In the 1960s the horse became extinct in the wild, largely due to competition with domestic livestock for grazing land and water and to hunting for horsemeat.Overnight in ger.</em><em></em><br />
<strong>Day 10</strong><strong>.</strong> Drive back to Ulaanbaatar and transfer to the hotel. Free in the afternoon. In the evening we enjoy a live folk performance and have farewell dinner in a restaurant. /Overnight in hotel/. <em></em></p>

<p><strong>Day</strong><strong> 1</strong>: An introductory city tour through Ulaanbaatar, where we will visit sites such as Gandan-tegchilen monastery, National Museum of Mongolia where you will learn about the history of Mongolia, and other sites such as Zanabazar fine arts museum will allow you to see the culture of Mongolia.</p>
<p><strong>Day</strong><strong> 2:</strong> Drive towards Amarbaysgalant monastery. Built in 1727-1736, Amarbayasgalant is famous for its architectural complexity. It was built without any nails, and used only materials provided by the mountains.Overnight in tent.</p>
<p><strong>Day</strong><strong> 3: </strong>We will drive past Erdene city, the second biggest city in Mongolia and head towards Bulgan province, famous for its natural landscape as well as historical monuments from the Turkic and Uigar periods. We will visit nomadic families on our way. Overnight in tent.</p>
<p><strong>Day</strong><strong> 4</strong>: Arrive at Murun city. Murun city is the capital of Khuvsgul province, as well as the biggest city in northern Mongolia. We will meet nomadic families and taste traditional food and cuisine. Overnight in tent or at nomad family ger.</p>
<p><strong>Day</strong><strong> 5: </strong>We will drive through the rough terrain of Khoridol Saridag mountain range at an altitude of 3086 m above sea level. We will pass by Ulaan-Uul soum and arrive at Darkhad Valley. Although difficult to reach, the valley is rich in lakes and rivers natural sites. Overnight in tent.</p>
<p><strong>Day</strong><strong> 6:</strong> Arrive at Tsagaannuur soum, which was established for the Tsaatan people who inhabit the area. It is complete with a hospital, secondary school, government house and grocery stores. Due to the difficulty of the terrain, we will put our baggage on horses and visit the Tsaatan people on horseback. Overnight in tent.</p>
<p><strong>Days</strong><strong> 7-</strong><strong>12</strong>: Trekking through the taiga forest. The Tsaatan people change their location based on availability of food and vegetation for their reindeers. It will take approximately 4 days to visit a family and return back. We will spend 2 days with the Tsaatan people, learning about their lifestyle, participating in their daily chores and eating food made from reindeer.</p>
<p><strong>Days</strong><strong> 1</strong><strong>3</strong><strong>,</strong><strong> </strong><strong>1</strong><strong>4</strong><strong>: </strong>Return to Ulaan-Uul soum. We will visit a Darkhad family and stay the night with the family. The next day, we will drive back to Murun city. We will stay overnight in a tent near Murun city.</p>
<p><strong>Day</strong><strong> 1</strong><strong>5</strong><strong>:</strong> Fly to Ulaanbaatar city from Murun. In the evening, we will see a Mongolian cultural concert with contortion artists, throat singers, national long songs and dances. Overnight at hotel.</p>

<p><strong>Day</strong><strong> 2: </strong>Early in the morning, we will catch a flight to Dalanzadgad city, the capital of Umnugobi province. Our trip will start with a drive to Khongor sand dunes. As we make our way to Khongor sand dunes, the scene will slowly change from dessert step to Gobi steppe. We will visit local camel herders and take part in their daily lifestyle and activities. Stay overnight in tents.</p>
<p><strong>Day</strong><strong> 3: </strong>Before we start our camel trekking, we will provide guidance and training to those who are riding a camel for the first time. The view from camel-back will capture you as you trek through the Gobi. We will sleep in tents under the Gobi sky full of stars. <strong></strong></p>
<p><strong>Days</strong><strong> 4, 5, 6:</strong> As we continue our trek, we will run into many rivers and oasis. The rivers and oasis are water points for many Gobi birds and animals, so keep an eye out for them. Our cars will carry our baggage and follow close by for safety. If anyone should feel tired, the cars will be ready to pick them up for a rest. We will sleep in tents. <strong></strong></p>
<p><strong>Day</strong><strong> 7: </strong>The last day of camel trekking. We will continue trekking in the Gobi desert and reach Khongor sand dunes. Khongor is an 800 m high white sand dune surrounded by lush green grass and blue mountains. Top of the dunes can be climbed and the views of the desert from the top are indescribable. We will sleep in tents.</p>
<p><strong>Day</strong><strong> 8: </strong>We will drive towards Vulture’s gorge in our cars. Vulture’s gorge is a narrow canyon in the Gurvan Saikhan Mountain National Park. Not much sunlight enters the canyon, so there’s thick ice almost all year round in its depths. Vulture’s gorge is home to many rare mammals, birds and plants. We will stay the night in ger camp.</p>
<p><strong>Day</strong><strong> 9: </strong>In the afternoon, we will arrive back in Ulaanbaatar city. In the evening, we will see a Mongolian cultural concert with contortion artists, throat singers, national long songs and dances. Overnight at a hotel.</p>

<p><strong>Day 2:</strong> Fly to Murun, the center of Khuvsgul province. Meet your travel team, including the cook and the driver, at Murun airport and drive North to visit a nomad family, tasting traditional milk tea, cards and cheese. Overnight in a tent or a ger.</p>
<p><strong>Day 3:</strong> Arrive in ger camp located on the shore of legendary Khuvsgul lake. The tour will take place not far from our ger camp.You will enjoy your meals in the restaurant of the ger camp overcooling the “ Mother lake” while experiencing the pleasure of stunning natural beauty. In the afternoon we will visit a darkhad family of shaman religion. We will stay the night in ger camp.</p>
<p><strong>Day 4 and 5 :</strong> Walk to meet a Tsaatan or reindeer herder family. Reindeer herders practice shamanism and live in huts regardless of the season. We will stay the nights in a tent next to the hut of the reindeer herer family.during our stay, you will be introduced to the lifestyle and the culture of Tsaatan people. In the afternoon, an archery competition will be organized for you. Overnight in a ger.</p>
<p><strong>Day 6:</strong> Boat trip to the sacred rock. This rock is believed to the home of the lake lord by the local people. Visitors offer 9 stones to the lord of the lake. Further we will head for the island of birds to see various species of birds making nests and laying their eggs. Go back to our ger camp and stay the night there.</p>
<p><strong>Day 7 and 8:</strong> We will load a disassembled ger on yak cart and go hiking.in the evening we will reassemble our ger with the help of our travel team and stay the night in our assembled ger.The next morning we will disassemble our ger again and head back for our ger camp.We will have a fire festival on the shore of the lake. Overnight in a ger.</p>
<p><strong>Day 9:</strong> Head back to Murun.Lunch will be provided on the way. Stay the night in a hotel.</p>
<p><strong>Day 10:</strong> Fly back to UB.In the evening , we will see a Mongolian cultural concert where contortionists, throat singers, national long songs singers and dancers will be performing. Stay the night in a hotel.</p>

He successfully unified different cultures and civilizations under a single rule and turned it into a vibrant empire with common language, booming trade, tolerance of religion and strong customs and laws.</em></strong></p>

<p><strong>Day 1: </strong>Arrive in Ulaanbaatar. Your visit to Mongolia will start with a city tour which will take you to the main attractions in the capital city, including monasteries, museums and shops.  Overnight in a hotel.<strong> </strong></p>
<p><strong>Day 2:</strong> Set off for “Khukh Nuur” (Blue Lake), the fresh water twin lake located in the<strong> </strong>Khar Zurkh mountain, Khentii province. This is the historically important place where Chingis Khaan was crowned the King of Great Mongol Empire. Overnight in a tent.</p>
<p><strong>Day 3: </strong>Visit Baldanbereven monastery en route to Oglogchiin Herem wall, the greatest grave yard ever found from the 13<sup>th</sup> century. It is also believed that Chingis Khaan’s dwelling Aurag was located not far from the Blue lake.  Stay the night in a tent.</p>
<p><strong>Day 4: </strong>Enjoy a hike discovering the homeland of Chingis Khaan. Overnight in a tent.</p>
<p><strong>Day 5: </strong>Spend the day in Undur-Khaan, the center of Khentii province. Overnight in a tent.</p>
<p><strong>Day 6:</strong> Drive to Terelj National Park and spend the day enjoying unique natural formations of the park. Visit the Turtle Rock and stay the night in a tourist camp.</p>
<p><strong>Day 7: </strong>Continue driving to Khustai National park where we will see<strong> </strong>Przewalski horse, the last truly wild horse first discovered by a Russian zoologist Nikolai Mikhailovich <a href="http://www.encyclopedia.com/doc/1E1-Przheval.html">Przhevalsky</a> in 1870s. In the 1960s the horse became extinct in the wild, and after some time, in 1992 the horse was reintroduced to the park. Overnight in a ger.</p>

<p><strong>Day </strong><strong>16:</strong> Leave for Karakorum, the ancient capital of Mongolia. We will see the stone turtle, the protector of the ancient city, visit the Erdene-Zuu monastery and the market place of Karakorum city. Erdene-Zuu monastery (hundred treasures), built in 1586 with the stones delivered from the ruins of the ancient capital Karakorum, by Altai Khaan, was the first and biggest Buddhist monastery in Mongolia. <p><strong><em>Mongolia is known as the land of horses. The nomadic people have worshipped horses for many years. The docile and friendly horses and untouched landscapes make Mongolia the perfect place for horseback riding. </em></strong><em> </em></p>
<p><strong>Day 1</strong><strong>: </strong> An introductory city tour through Ulaanbaatar, where we will visit sites such as Gandan-tegchilen monastery, National Museum of Mongolia where you will learn about the history of Mongolia, and other sites such as Zanabazar fine arts museum will allow you to see the culture of Mongolia.<strong> </strong></p>
<p><strong>Day 2:</strong> In the morning, we will head west out of Ulaanbaatar and arrive at ancient capital Kharkhorin city. As we come near to the city, we will see a sand dune in the middle of the steppe known as Elsen tasakhai. We will stay overnight in a ger.</p>
<p><strong>Day 3</strong>: In the morning we will visit Erdenezuu monastery. Erdenezuu monastery, built on top of the ruins of Kharkhorin city, was the first and biggest Buddhist temple built in Mongolia. Although ruined during the Communist period, it operates as a museum today. In the evening, we will meet our horses and herders. Overnight in tent.</p>
<p><strong>Day 4</strong><strong>: </strong>We will ride towards Tuvkhun monastery through a rocky mountainous terrain and arrive at Khukh Ereg hilltop. During our horseback riding, we will visit a nomad family and see their daily lifestyle and activities. We will spend the night in a tent.</p>
<p><strong>Day</strong><strong> 5: </strong>Today we will see Tuvkhun monastery. Tuvkhun monastery was where religious figure Zanabazar lived, worked and meditated and created the Soyombo, which became the symbol of freedom and independence in Mongolia. We will have a chance to visit Mother’s womb cave. Mongolians believe that those who enter Mother’s womb are purified and are born again. We will stay in a tent.</p>
<p><strong>Days</strong><strong> 6-8: </strong>During these days, we will continue horseback riding in the Orkhon Valley. We will visit a nomad family and see their daily lifestyle and activities. Continuing on our ride, we will arrive at Orkhon waterfall, 24  m high water falls created many years ago by volcanic eruption and earthquake. Overnight in tent.</p>
<p><strong>Days</strong><strong> 9-11: </strong> We will spend the next few days exploring 8 Lakes National Park which consists of lakes Duruu, Huis, Bugat, Shireet, Shanaa and Khaya. It is called 8 lakes of the Navel because it is located at the “navel” of Mongolia. We will use a yak or horse cart to carry our baggage for the road is unsuitable for a car. Stay the night in tents.</p>
<p><strong>Day</strong><strong> 12: </strong>This is the last day of horse riding.  We will ride through the scenic lava valley which was formed by a volcanic eruption and arrive at Shuran Rock. Shuran rock is a twin rock that stands 28 m tall at the bank of a river. Locals say that those who can throw a stone over it will be prosperous. We will meet our car and drivers at this site. We will stay overnight in tents.</p>
<p><strong>Day</strong><strong> 13: </strong>We will drive through Uyanga soum center and stay overnight in tents in Bayangobi. Bayangobi is a unique landscape which includes Mongolian Gobi and Khangai Mountains. We will stay overnight in tents.</p>

<p><strong>Activity : </strong>We will travel approximately 180 км on dirt and 250 km on paved road. We will walk for 4-5 hours each day. During trekking days, we will use a horse or yak cart to carry our baggages.<strong> </strong></p>

<p><strong><em>In the Gobi, you will climb the highest sand dune in Mongolia, the Khongor els, and watch the sunset from the tall sand dune. The sunset paints the Gobi in miraculous colors that you would believe only by seeing it with your own eyes.</em></strong></p>
<p><strong>Day</strong><strong> 1: </strong> An introductory city tour through Ulaanbaatar, where we will visit sites such as Gandan-tegchilen monastery, National Museum of Mongolia where you will learn about the history of Mongolia, and other sites such as Zanabazar fine arts museum will allow you to see the culture of Mongolia.<strong> </strong></p>
<p><strong>Day</strong><strong> 2: </strong>In the early morning, we will fly to Dalanzadgad city, the capital of Umnugobi province. We will meet up with our cars and drivers and start our trip with a drive to Vulture’s gorge. Vulture’s gorge is a narrow canyon with thick ice almost all year round in its depths. Then we will drive through Dungee’s gorge, which is a narrow gorge that barely fits one car, to get to our camp site. We will stay overnight in tents.<strong> </strong></p>
<p><strong>Day</strong><strong> 3: </strong>Today we will drive to Khongor sand dunes, a white sand dune surrounded by lush green grass and blue mountains. Khongor sand dune continues for 180 km. We will have lunch next to part of the sand dune and continue our drive to the highest peak at 800 m.<strong> </strong></p>
<p><strong>Day</strong><strong> 4:</strong> In the morning, we will hike the sand dune on camel back. In the afternoon, we will arrive at Bayanzag, a valley famous for its archaeological finds. An American Expedition team, lead by Roy Chapman Andrews, found the first dinosaur eggs as well as other fossils and bones which are exhibited in the Natural History Museum of USA.  This place is popular with the name “Flaming Cliffs” because the hills in Bayanzag look like they are burning when the sun sets.  We will stay in ger camp.<strong> </strong></p>
<p><strong>Day</strong><strong> 5: </strong>We will have lunch near Ongi monastery in the afternoon. Ongi monastery was founded in 1660 and consisted of two temples on the north and south banks of the Ongi River. Although it was ruined during the communist period, it operates as a museum and still houses some monks. Overnight in tent.<strong> </strong></p>
<p><strong>Day</strong><strong> 6: </strong>Today we will enter the Khangai Mountains region. We will drive to 8 Lakes National park. We will meet local nomad families and herders and participate in their daily chores. Overnight stay in tent.<strong> </strong></p>
<p><strong>Day</strong><strong> 7: </strong>We will put our baggage on yak cart, and start our trek through the 8 Lakes National Park visiting each of the lakes named Duruu, Huis, Bugat, Shireet, Shanaa and Khaya. The lakes are located from 500 m to 3 km from each other. Then we will meet up with our cars and drivers near Orkhon waterfall. Overnight in tent.<strong> </strong></p>
<p><strong>Day</strong><strong> 8: </strong>After visiting Khaliut, Duruu, Shanaa and Khuis lakes, we will arrive at Tsagaan Azarga valley. We will camp behind Bayn Mountain in the Tsagaan Azarga valley. Bayan Mountain protects the delta of 8 Lakes and is worshipped by the locals. Stay overnight in tent.<strong> </strong></p>
<p><strong>D</strong><strong>ay 9:</strong> Trek through the mountains and lava filled valleys of Khangai Mountain. The valley is filled with lava due to a volcanic eruption that took place many years ago. We will stay overnight in tent.<strong> </strong></p>
<p><strong>Day</strong><strong> 10: </strong>Trek through Orkhon valley where many nomad families inhabit. We will have lunch next to Orkhon River, which is one of the biggest rivers in Mongolia, and head towards Orkhon waterfall. Stay overnight in tent.<strong> </strong></p>
<p><strong>Day</strong><strong> 11:</strong> Drive to Shankh monastery, one of the many monasteries established by Zanabazar. Although damaged during the Communist period, it has been recently rebuilt. We will camp near Kharkhorin city in tent.<strong></strong></p>
<p><strong>Day</strong><strong> 12: </strong>In the morning we will visit Erdenezuu monastery. Erdenezuu monastery, built on top of the ruins of Kharkhorin city, was the first and biggest Buddhist temple built in Mongolia. Although ruined during the Communist period, it operates as a museum today. In the afternoon, we will arrive at Khugnu Khaan Mountain where we will trek for one hour. Stay overnight in ger camp.<strong></strong></p>
<p><strong>Day</strong><strong> 13: </strong>Today we will walk through Khugnu Khaan Mountain and visit Uwgun monastery. Then we will drive to Khustai National Park, famous for its Przewalskii’s wild horse reintroduction program. There are about 250 wild horses now, as well other and birds. Stay overnight in tent.<strong></strong></p>
<p><strong>Day</strong><strong> 14: </strong>Arrive in Ulaanbaatar in the afternoon. In the evening, we will see a Mongolian cultural concert with contortion artists, throat singers, national long songs and dances. Overnight at hotel.<strong></strong></p>
