Travelling through the Gobi on the back of camels will be an experience you will never forget. You will see the Gobi animals and birds running roaming you; smell the wild flowers growing beneath you. The famous blue sky will be right over your head, and far off into the distance you will see the majestic blue mountains of Gobi. Join us in experiencing the beauty of Gobi on camel-back.

Day 1:  An introductory city tour through Ulaanbaatar, where we will visit sites such as Gandan-tegchilen monastery, National Museum of Mongolia where you will learn about the history of Mongolia, and other sites such as Zanabazar fine arts museum will allow you to see the culture of Mongolia.

Day 2: Early in the morning, we will catch a flight to Dalanzadgad city, the capital of Umnugobi province. Our trip will start with a drive to Khongor sand dunes. As we make our way to Khongor sand dunes, the scene will slowly change from dessert step to Gobi steppe. We will visit local camel herders and take part in their daily lifestyle and activities. Stay overnight in tents.

Day 3: Before we start our camel trekking, we will provide guidance and training to those who are riding a camel for the first time. The view from camel-back will capture you as you trek through the Gobi. We will sleep in tents under the Gobi sky full of stars.

Days 4, 5, 6: As we continue our trek, we will run into many rivers and oasis. The rivers and oasis are water points for many Gobi birds and animals, so keep an eye out for them. Our cars will carry our baggage and follow close by for safety. If anyone should feel tired, the cars will be ready to pick them up for a rest. We will sleep in tents.

Day 7: The last day of camel trekking. We will continue trekking in the Gobi desert and reach Khongor sand dunes. Khongor is an 800 m high white sand dune surrounded by lush green grass and blue mountains. Top of the dunes can be climbed and the views of the desert from the top are indescribable. We will sleep in tents.

Day 8: We will drive towards Vulture’s gorge in our cars. Vulture’s gorge is a narrow canyon in the Gurvan Saikhan Mountain National Park. Not much sunlight enters the canyon, so there’s thick ice almost all year round in its depths. Vulture’s gorge is home to many rare mammals, birds and plants. We will stay the night in ger camp.

Day 9: In the afternoon, we will arrive back in Ulaanbaatar city. In the evening, we will see a Mongolian cultural concert with contortion artists, throat singers, national long songs and dances. Overnight at a hotel.
